Firenze’s tram network helps compare actual addresses. Locate your workplace or school on the GEST map before choosing a room and check whether the journey needs a connection. A listing labelled “Firenze” may be in another municipality.

The urban capoluogo ticket is €2.00 on the page checked on 14 September 2026 and lasts 90 minutes in Firenze after validation. It covers buses and trams; rail integration depends on the product. Contactless tip tap tickets exclude regional trains.

On green urban buses, tap at every boarding. On suburban or mixed-fare routes, tap in and out. Urban and suburban payments are separate even when routes overlap.

On GEST, select T2 Peretola Aeroporto–San Marco–Università and your direction. The page separates first/last departures, frequencies and maps; use the map to identify your transfer stop, including the station you need.

Check service notices before flying and allow for walking and disembarkation. Pisa is a different airport from Peretola and requires a separate journey plan.

The Residenza page separates Italian, EU and non-EU citizens. Open the relevant category before choosing documents or a form. The Comune says ANPR does not handle initial registration by foreign nationals arriving from abroad or applicants without digital identity.

In those cases, follow the channels in the relevant municipal service page. Keep the reference number; municipal registration does not replace the permission-to-stay procedures covered in the national guide.

The university’s Alloggiare a Firenze page distinguishes discounted accommodation, housing for specific projects and the partner platform Cerco Alloggio. Project accommodation requests go through the host Department/School.

Sant’Ambrogio market in Piazza Lorenzo Ghiberti combines indoor food shops and outdoor morning stalls. The municipal tourism portal lists Monday–Saturday, 07:00–14:00, closed Sundays and public holidays.

It is an option for shopping before lunch and comparing stalls on one trip. Ask individual vendors about products; we do not assume Brazilian ingredients are stocked.

As checked on 25 October 2026, Iscrizioni Fuori Termine 0–3 lists a deadline of 31 October 2026 at noon. Check birth-date groups, residence conditions and exceptions; use the application button with SPID, CIE or an enabled electronic health card.

The former Alia address redirects to AliaEstra. Enter your address in Sistemi di raccolta to identify door-to-door, street-container or mixed collection and the corresponding kit. Do not copy another zone’s calendar.

The AliaEstra app handles bulky-item collection requests and their progress. Access requires registration and linkage to the account holder; newcomers should clarify who holds the account before assuming a landlord’s account covers their requests.

The historic centre’s daytime ZTL operates Monday-Friday, 07:30-20:00, and Saturday, 07:30-16:00, except public holidays. The 2026 summer night extension ended on the first weekend of October, in the early hours of 4 October. Check the new municipal order for the next season; do not assume the summer schedule applies throughout the year.

ZTL controls access and driving; ZCS manages parking outside the ZTL. Check the zone, bay type and signs before driving or parking. Pedestrian areas and reserved lanes have separate restrictions. Use the municipal pages and official tourism portal in the sources for maps, permits and notices.
