When comparing homes, list actual destinations: work, school and administrative appointments. Plan both directions at the required times and check stop numbers. Include the walk and an alternative when a bus is diverted instead of considering only the distance to a station. Keep the accommodation’s full address available when planning arrival with luggage.

Check the airport code before buying: FCO and CIA are not interchangeable. With Airlink, allow for the transfer and walking with luggage; Ciampino station is different from the airport terminal. Consider how to carry groceries home: a large shop may require a different route from your commute. Check holiday changes and essential products before travelling to the store. For home delivery, verify your address and conditions in the retailer’s service; parking or a store’s presence in the city does not establish delivery availability.

ASL Roma 1’s Sportelli di Medicina Generale page separates districts 1, 2, 3, 13, 14 and 15. In District 1, via Canova 19 handles doctor or paediatrician selection/removal Monday–Friday 07:30–17:15 and Saturday 07:30–12:00. Other desks have different hours.

Open the district matching your address and check the channel for your request. ASL distinguishes first registration, a new resident and changing doctors; paperwork for someone already registered does not automatically cover first registration from abroad. Read Scegliere il medico/pediatra and confirm documents with the service. Do not choose an ASL solely because its name includes Roma or treat the institutional footer address as a public desk.

For 2026/2027, Rome accepts late applications by PEC or in person at the chosen Municipio. September’s round closes on 23 September, with the list scheduled for 30 September. Choices are within one Municipio; a place depends on ranking and availability, not submission alone.

Open Domande fuori termine, download the form and check age, residence and selected nurseries. Ask the Municipio which contact follows your application and keep its reference. If already waitlisted, check the rule for choosing other centres. Arrange alternative childcare while waiting: the list’s preparation date is not a guaranteed nursery start date.

AMA offers free collection up to 2 m³ for domestic users with an active, up-to-date TARI account, within service limits. Items must be in an internal street-level area, such as an accessible courtyard or garage, never beside street bins. Collection from other floors requires a quote.

Before accepting someone’s furniture, work out transport and whether old pieces need disposal.
