From 6 October to 10 December 2026, 50 Giorni di Cinema a Firenze brings together international festivals coordinated by Fondazione Sistema Toscana’s cinema department. This year marks the initiative’s twentieth anniversary and Cinema La Compagnia’s tenth. The programme offers different national cinemas, documentaries, women’s cinema and artists’ films in strands run by individual festivals.

To start choosing, Middle East Now is announced for 6–11 October and Lo schermo dell’arte for 11–15 November. Each festival has its own screenings, venues and rules. The overall period does not mean continuous screenings or a 7 am opening. Check the original language, subtitles and time for your chosen film.

The main reference venue is La Compagnia, Via Cavour 50/r. The organiser also lists Astra, Piazza Cesare Beccaria 9; Spazio Alfieri, Via dell’Ulivo 8; and Stensen, Viale Don Giovanni Minzoni 25c, alongside cultural spaces. Check the venue on each ticket rather than automatically going to La Compagnia.

The €50 card advertised for 2026 covers 16 admissions, with a maximum of four per festival. A free option is announced for the first 500 people under 25 applying through Fondazione per Te, covering 16 admissions with a maximum of two per festival. Cards are personal, require ID and depend on availability. The page announces box-office collection from 10 September but still describes the youth portal as “coming soon”; confirm the procedure and remaining stock before relying on free access. Individual ticket prices vary by festival. Information: +39 055268451 and info@50giornidicinema.it.
