Broken. Il potere del frammento occupies the courtyard and piano nobile of Palazzo Strozzi from 25 September 2026 to 24 January 2027. Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi and the National Gallery of Art in Washington bring together more than 80 sculptures and fragments to examine how a surviving part of an artwork acquires new meanings.

The exhibition connects objects from ancient Egypt and other cultures with works by Michelangelo, Rodin, Louise Bourgeois and Danh Vo. Its Florence context includes damage caused by the 1966 flood; the courtyard houses an installation made by Mark Manders for the exhibition. C. D. Dickerson III and Andrew Sears curate the show in collaboration with Arturo Galansino.

Opening hours are daily 10:00–20:00, extended to 23:00 on Thursdays, with last admission one hour before closing. These dates describe the exhibition season, not continuous overnight opening.

The official tariff checked on 14 September lists fixed-date admission at €15, reduced admission at €12 for visitors under 30 and other eligible groups, and €5 for ages 6–18. Family admission is €25 under the composition rules on the website; an open-date ticket is €20. Children under 6, visitors with disabilities and their companions are among those eligible for free admission. Check proof requirements, conditions and the final total through the official channel before purchasing.

Online purchase is recommended; tickets are also sold at the box office on the day. Groups of five or more must book and buy in advance through the reservations office. The audio guide costs €4 and is available in Italian and English, with a route lasting about one hour.

The address is Piazza Strozzi, without a street number, in central Florence. The ramp entrance is on Via Strozzi, and a courtyard lift serves the exhibition rooms.
