Is it only for immigrants?
No. The platform is for anyone who has moved to a new city and wants to feel at home, including immigrants, expats, digital nomads, and people who have relocated within their own country. If you want to discover local events, services, and community, MyCommunity is for you.
Does it work in my city?
We already have communities in many cities. When you create an account, you enter your city and instantly access the local feed, events, and services. If there is not much activity nearby yet, you can be one of the first people to strengthen the community. As a Founding Member, you will also receive greater visibility.
Does the free plan have limitations?
The free plan gives you access to the local feed, events, services, and marketplace. The main differences are that it includes ads and limits your posts (1 donation on the Marketplace). Business removes that friction for people who need to promote themselves, generate leads, and grow inside the community.
How does the Marketplace work?
On the Marketplace you can buy, sell, trade, or donate items within your local community. On the Free plan you can keep 1 active donation; on Business, listings, sales, and donations are unlocked for people who need more visibility. Everyone can browse and reply to listings for free.
How does it work for businesses and service providers?
With Business you can list your business or service, appear in local community searches, promote events and opportunities, track metrics, and receive leads. Perfect for restaurants, lawyers, schools, clinics, and any business serving immigrant communities.
How does MyCommunity help during a move?
When you tell us you are moving, MyCommunity shows you, when available, a plan with essential steps for the country and city-specific tips. In cities with an ambassador, you can also find local guidance. You can also choose which updates — events, things to do, services, and listings — you want to receive in the app.
